GitHub just announced in a blog post today that free accounts will have access to Unlimited Private Repos and made some changes to the "Pro" version of GitHub
- Free Users will have access to Unlimited Private Repos, with up to 3 collaborators.
- Github Developer is now Github Pro. It includes everything in the Free tier, unlimited collaborators for private repositories, and advanced code review tools for private and public repositories.
- Some of the enterprise tools are getting bundled.
What do you think about this? I've been using BitBucket for anything I needed a private repo for, and as a solo dev I highly doubt I will need more than 3 collaborators for now.
About 85% of the stuff I work on is in private repos on BitBucket and it'd be cool to get that work to show up on my GitHub contributions. (As vain of a reason as that is.) Let me know what you think in the comments!
